A gift, whether of $18 or $18,000, is a vote of confidence in Heschel, allowing the school to maintain excellence and go above and beyond. 

The Heschel Fund is the “lifeblood” and gives us the flexibility to use the funds where the need is the greatest, which changes year to year. These unrestricted funds allow Heschel to support athletics, campus maintenance, community events, creative arts, extracurricular opportunities, Israel/Judaica, teacher development, and technology. 

In years past the Heschel Fund has supported initiatives including, but not limited to: 

• Attracting and retaining valuable and talented faculty and staff 
• Providing faculty enrichment programs and myriad professional development opportunities
• Allowing the school to add specialty spaces and positions like the Maker/Tech Specialist; and stocking the classroom with supplies for ultramodern curriculum that introduces students to budding tech industries
• Securing the best possible technology and software for classrooms and personal Chromebooks
• Enabling the school to purchase new library books 
• Expanding and repairing of sports facilities, the blacktop and equipment
• Maintaining and repairing school facilities, grounds, and parking lots to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and security.
• Enabling Heschel to handle standard increases in utilities such as heating, lighting, etc.
• Investing in climate friendly campus upgrades, in order to be more environmentally conscious, while role modeling Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the earth) as we prepare for the next generation to inherit our planet.
