RoboHawks Robotics Team

In fifth through eighth grade, Heschel's robotics team, the RoboHawks, participate in FIRST LEGO League Challenge. This competition challenges students to think both critically and creatively, as well as teaches them collaboration, teamwork, and design.

Heschel's RoboHawks have numerous achievements including:

• FIRST LEGO League 1st Place Project Presentation (Los Angeles)
  • Heschel earned first place for their project presentation of a portable light therapy cap to realign the diurnal cycle for people who have alternative work shifts. Their exceptional achievements lead to participation in competitions in Uruguay, San Jose, and the project attained a patent pending status as a result of the team’s exceptional achievements.
