1. When do I apply?
Applicant families to Heschel apply for tuition assistance during the admissions process. The tuition assistance application process opens on October 10, 2025 and is due by January 30, 2026. Note: The tuition assistance application due date for returning families is January 5, 2026.
2. In addition the the Personal Financial Statement (PFS) form through SSS, is any other documentation required?
Yes, in addition to the PFS form through SSS, the following documentation is required:
- Signed copy of Federal Income Tax Return(s)
- Corporate Return and/or K-1 (if applicable)
- W-2 or 1099
- Form 1040 and 1040 Supporting Schedules
3. How do I know if I would qualify for assistance?
A family should first look at all personal avenues for meeting costs. If all available financial resources from parents does not meet tuition expenses, then the family may qualify for assistance.
4. What documents should I have available while completing the PFS online application?
It may help to look over the workbooks below for an overview before you fill out the PFS online. Projected expenses will likely be estimates. The Tuition Assistance Committee will make adjustments after taxes are uploaded.
5. What should I do if I have not received my W-2 before the January Personal Financial Statement deadline?
For some financial information, projections will be required. Estimates will be adjusted after your tax information is received. If you have not yet received W-2s and/or 1099s, please still be sure to complete the PFS by January 5, 2026 for returning families and January 30, 2026 for applicant families to be considered for tuition assistance.
6. Do I have to apply again?
Families receiving tuition assistance who would like to be considered again for the following year must reapply. If a family's financial need differs from the prior year, assistance may be adjusted accordingly.
7. Does tuition increase annually?
The Board of Directors publishes annual tuition and fees in January for the following year. The Board is committed to keeping tuition increases as low as possible while ensuring the high quality of our educational programs.
8. When do I receive the tuition assistance decision?
Returning families will receive the tuition assistance award decisions in January, along with your re-enrollment contract. Applicant families will receive their admission decision in March. The tuition assistance award decision will be included in the admission decision package.
