Every year, AJHDS sponsors activities in conjunction with the Jewish Federation’s City-wide Mitzvah Day. Both at our school site and around the valley, families fulfill the mitzvah of Tikkun Olam – repairing the world.  On Nov. 5, 2006, we will host “Mitzvah Hero” guest speaker Janice Kamenir-Reznik, President of Jewish World Watch.  We will also collect items for the following organizations:  Shoes That Fit, Oscar Litwak Foundation, M.E. N.D., SOVA, Operation Gratitude, School on Wheels, Bagel Brigade, Teddy Bear Patrol, blood drive, Jewish World Watch, and Nike Re-use-a-Shoe Program.
